What's inside

One small list each week.

Not a 60-page ebook. Just what matters this week, in the order it matters, so you can stop googling at 2 a.m. and enjoy your puppy.

Before day one

The shopping list

What you really need, and what can wait.

  • Crate with a divider
  • Their current food (don't switch yet)
  • Collar, ID tag, 6 ft leash

  • Simple potty schedule
  • Surviving the first nights

Weeks 2–3

Routine & chewing

Meals, first lessons, teething.

  • Switching food the gentle way
  • Name, sit and come in 5 minutes a day
  • What to chew instead of your shoes
Week 4

Meet the world

Confident puppy, happy walks.

  • Safe socializing (ask your vet when)
  • How long walks should be
  • Checking the collar as they grow
Sound familiar?

The first month is a lot.

Everyone has advice. The internet has more. Most new puppy parents end up with a cupboard of things they didn't need and still no idea why the puppy cries at night.

The checklist answers these one week at a time. And if you're still unsure, come ask us at the shop.
Why won't she sleep at night? Which of these 40 foods is right? Is he eating enough? How often do puppies need to pee?! He chewed the charger again. What size harness do I buy? When can we go to the park? Did I buy the wrong bed?

Then come say hi

Bring your puppy. Leave with the right stuff.

Online you guess the size, the food and the toy. In the shop we can just look at your puppy.

The starter kit, minus the guesswork.

The checklist's shopping list fits on one card. Bring it in and we'll help you tick it off.

  • A crate sized for the adult dog (with a divider for now)
  • The food they already eat (switch slowly, if at all)
  • Three chew textures (soft, firm, rubber)
  • A washable bed (the fancy one can wait until teething ends)

Why we do this

For people who treat their dog like family, from the very first day.

Questions

Good to know

Is the checklist really free?

Yes. Enter your name and email and it opens right away. We also email you a copy with your $10 coupon.

How do I use the $10 coupon?

Show the email (or the checklist page) at the counter. It's $10 off any purchase of $30 or more, on your first visit, within 30 days of signing up. One per household.

What emails will I get?

The checklist right away, then a few short tips over the next few weeks (potty, food, teething, first walks) and a reminder before your coupon ends. Unsubscribe with one click anytime.

Is this vet advice?

No. It's a practical checklist from a pet shop. For vaccines, health and when it's safe to meet other dogs, always follow your vet.

Do I have to bring my puppy?

No, but we'd love to meet them. It's also the easiest way to get the collar and harness size right.
